Ragin Cajun is an event which is a special time to help you “shake off” winter and enjoy three of Texas’ best assets: the beautiful Texas Hill Country, a special Cajun dish prepared by one of the many great Hill Country restaurants, and good Texas Wines. Sounds like a fun time!
Ragin Cajun is on Friday, January 22, 2016 and 15 wineries who make up the Fredericksburg Wine Road 290 will be participating. Each of the wineries will team with a top restaurant in the Texas Hill Country to present Ragin Cajun. There are no tickets to buy. Just drive to each of the wineries and get your serving of a Cajun dish paired with a sample of that winery’s fine wine, plus a “throw bead” necklace (it is Cajun after all!).
Visit www.wineroad290.com for a map where there are just 45 miles between the western most winery (Chisholm Trail Winery) and the eastern most winery (Texas Hills Vineyard). The other 13 wineries are in between. Just “save” the web address and make it a “favorite” so you can share the fun on Wine Road 290.
Even though there is no ticket to participate, most wineries have a small tasting fee, normally charged, but there is no additional fee for the event.
Wineries participating (in alphabetical order) are:
4.0 Cellars, Becker Vineyards, Chisholm Trail Winery, Fiesta Winery, Fredericksburg Winery, Grape Creek Vineyards, Hilmy Cellars, Hye Meadow Winery, Lost Draw Cellars, Pedernales Cellars, Rancho Ponte Vineyard, Texas Hills Vineyard, Torre di Pietra Vineyards, William Chris Vineyards, and Woodrose Winery.
