Hill Country Wine Symposium

Texas Hill Country Wineries will be hosting the Hill Country Wine Symposium 2015 on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 24-25 at the Hill Country University Center.

The cost for the Symposium varies if you are a Texas Hill Country Wineries (THCW) member or not:

  • THCW members – $75 for one day, $100 for both days
  • Non-members – $125 for one day, $200 for both days

Here is the planned schedule:

Tuesday, March 24

8:30am Registration Opens, Exhibitor Tables Open
9am – 11am THCW General Membership Meeting
11am – 12:15pm -The Business of Wine in Texas from a Farmer’s Perspective – Pierre de Wet, Kiepersol Enterprises
-Building a Strong Brand – Lindsay Kana and Tammy Boatright, VingDirect
1:30pm – 2:45pm -Business Structure and Succession Plan – Fredrik Osterberg, Pedernales Cellars
-Barrel Repair and Care – Tim and Spring Drake, Flat Creek Estate and Drake Consulting
3pm – 4:15pm -Working with Bloggers – Julie Kuhlken, Pedernales Cellars and Dr. Russ Kane, Vintage Texas
-Role of Vineyard Management Companies in Grape Production – Al Wagner, Clos du Val
4:30pm – 7pm Grape Exchange Wine Reception sponsored by Frost Bank and Glass Tech

Wednesday, March 25

8:30am Registration Opens
9am – 10:15am -Postmodern Winemaking – Clark Smith

10:30am – 11:45am -Managing a Growing Winery – Don Brady, Robert Hall Winery
