Changes are happening with Limestone Terrace Vineyard. The Wimberley winery is joining forces with Dr. Bob Buly, owner of Buli Wines in Podere Collalto, located in Trequanda, Italy. His Italian wines and Limestone Terrace’s Texas favorites will now come together—all in one place, one vision, and one name: Buli Limestone.
Limestone Terrace will stay the same with:
- The commitment to small-batch excellence
- The people behind the pour
- The passion for Texas wine
What’s new:
- A broader, bolder vision
- An expanded tasting experience
- A deeper connection to Old World winemaking
Also new is that Limestone Terrace Vineyard will be relocating from Wimberley to downtown Fredericksburg. They will be taking over the former space occupied by Lost Draw Cellars and Wine For the People. The new Tuscan-inspired tasting room will be a cozy and elegant space with both table service and a lounge experience, featuring a curated selection of both Texas and Italian wines.
The move does bring some necessary changes. The winery is currently working with the City of Fredericksburg on permitting and transferring their state and federal winery licenses to the new location. They had hoped to keep the Wimberley location open during the transition, but due to updated permitting requirements, it will be open by appointment only for package pickups. They will not be allowed to offer tastings or sell wine onsite until the new location opens in Fredericksburg.
After April 13, there will be an interim period of one to two months as they complete renovations on the new tasting room in Fredericksburg. During this time, the website will remain active for online orders—they can ship your wine or coordinate a pickup.
The winery expects renovations to finish sometime in May or June. Keep watching their social media for updates.
