Press Release

Texas Hill Country Wineries (THCW) is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with Wine Folly, the globally recognized authority in wine education, to develop the Texas Hill Country Region Guide. This comprehensive guide will highlight the unique characteristics, wineries, and wines of the Texas Hill Country Wineries members, bringing greater awareness to the region’s growing prominence in the world of wine.

Wine Folly, renowned for its visually engaging and educational wine content, will create an interactive guide showcasing the diverse terroir, winemaking styles, and must-visit wineries that make Texas Hill Country one of the most exciting wine regions in the United States. This guide will provide both enthusiasts and industry professionals with valuable insights into the region’s rich viticultural heritage and dynamic future.

“THCW has a great history of promoting the wine industry in the Hill Country,” said Blake DeBerry, President of Texas Hill Country Wineries. “With the execution of this agreement, we are excited to move our marketing efforts beyond the Texas Hill Country to wine enthusiasts across the globe.”

Texas Hill Country is home to over 100 wineries, producing exceptional wines from a variety of grapes, including Tempranillo, Viognier, and Tannat. With its diverse microclimates, limestone-rich soils, and passionate winemakers, the region continues to gain recognition as a premier American wine destination.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Wine Folly to put the spotlight on Texas Hill Country Wineries,” said January Wiese, Executive Director of THCW. “This partnership will elevate our region’s visibility and help consumers and trade professionals alike explore what makes our wineries and wines so special.”

The Texas Hill Country Region Guide will list Texas Hill Country Wineries members and will be available online through Wine Folly’s platform, offering interactive maps, expert recommendations, and in-depth insights into the region’s wines and wineries. The guide is expected to launch later this summer, further solidifying Texas Hill Country’s reputation on the national and international wine stage.
